What it proves, and what it doesn't
It proves
- Someone with your one-time link, sent to that number, opened it.
- They completed their phone's Face ID, fingerprint, or screen-lock check, just now.
- It happened at the time shown.
It doesn't prove
- Their legal name, age, or government ID.
- That the name you typed belongs to them.
- That the link wasn't forwarded to another phone.
- That someone who knows the owner's screen lock couldn't pass it.
For anything high-stakes, check identity another way too.
Use it when you need to be sure
Before a meeting with someone you haven't met in person. At the door. Before you share something sensitive. Anywhere a quick “is this really the person on that number, on their own phone” check helps.

Questions
What if they don't respond?+
The link expires after 30 minutes and your screen stays red. You can send it again from the same screen without paying again.
Does the person I verify need an app?+
No. The link opens in the browser they already have, and no account is created.
Is this an identity or background check?+
No. It confirms that the person holding that phone completed a check on it. It doesn't look up government records or confirm a legal name or age.
Do you store my biometric data, or theirs?+
No. The check happens on the phone, and DeviceBound never receives the biometric data.
Can I text anyone?+
Only people you're authorized to contact and who expect your message. You confirm this before sending. They can reply STOP at any time to opt out.
Can someone fake a green screen?+
A screenshot can be faked, so treat a screenshot sent by someone else as unverified. Verify on your own screen, in real time.
DeviceBound Live confirms that the holder of a mobile number completed a device check at the time shown. It does not verify legal identity, age, or capacity, and names entered by the requester are not verified.
